About Mihai Onete

Mihai Onete is an internationally acclaimed musician and educator, celebrated for his mastery of the accordion and double bass. He has performed with esteemed orchestras, including Symphony New Brunswick, Sinfonia de Lanaudière, and the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra, and has participated in masterclasses with world-renowned mentors such as Petru Iuga, Ovidiu Bădilă, and Marc Dorin. His foundational training under Ion Birovescu continues to influence his life as a mentor and inspires him as a human being every single day.

 

Mihai’s career spans global tours and a diverse repertoire, showcasing Irish, Scottish, Italian, French, Hungarian, Russian, Lebanese, Greek, and Armenian influences. His memorable performances at prestigious venues like Beirut's Phoenicia Hotel and embassies across the world reflect his commitment to cultural exchange and artistic excellence.

 

Mihai is a Teaching Artist with the internationally recognized Sistema New Brunswick, Canada’s largest youth music program.

 

As a dedicated music instructor with over 25 years of experience, Mihai offers lessons in accordion, piano, and double bass, both in person and online. He has inspired countless students, combining technical mastery with emotional expression to help them unlock their potential. Whether performing or teaching, Mihai continues to bridge cultures through the universal language of music.
